The file essentially covers 2 separate requests from the Portuguese Consul written to the Colonial Secretary to grant permission for members of the Macau Police Force to disembark in Singapore. These police force members were on their way back to Macau and have to disembark in Singapore before awaiting onward transportation to Macau. The replies from the Colonial Secretary and the subsequent acknowledgements by the Portuguese Consul are included in the file.
