1) The majority of the correspondence related to the distribution and sale of the 1967,1968 and 1969 Singapore National Bibliography (SBN). Internal meetings were held and recommendations were made to improve the publication eg set the order of information given, classification eg serials, order of punctuation; removal of double cataloguing; IBRD classification etc. A SOP on the compilation and production of SBN was also drafted. NL also produced a Singapore Periodicals Index, for 1969/70. NL sought Ministry of Finance approval to price the publications and appoint a sales agent for the publications. 2) UNESCO proposed an International Serials Data System (ISDS) regional centre basically to promote international standards of bibliography. However, many questions were raised concerning the UNESCO ISDS project. pg 147, 163, 168-169 3) In Dec 1974, the International Book Standard Number (ISBN) Agency invited NL to adopt the ISBN classification for books (unique number given for identification of books). File also includes questionnaires NL participated in pertaining to the Naitonal Bibiliography commissioned by UNESCO, University of Philippines, International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions.
