Series of 8 volumes (5 of which are over 40 years). Contents relate to LAS activities and the active involvement of National Library senior staff who were key representatives of LAS and were instrumental to the execution of LAS activities and projects. Contents of Vol 1 include: (1) Evolution of Library Association of Singapore (LAS) from its early days when it was known as the Malayan Library Group; to the Library Association of Malaysia, Singapore Branch in 1965; and then to the LAS which was registered Sep 1966. (2) Activities of the Association - social as well as professional eg. conducting classes for members who were preparing for professional exams; training teacher-librarians; setting up of school libraries (3) Continued cross-border cooperation eg. with Malayan counterpart in various projects.
