  A librarian for over three decades and pioneer of the National Library, Mrs Anuar was Director of the National Library from 1960 to 1961 and from 1965 to 1988, and concurrently director of the National Archives and Records Centre from 1969 to 1978. In this interview, she talks about the transfer of the Microfilm Unit to the National Library, which division the Unit was placed under, and why the Unit was transferred to the newly established National Archives.

  Mr Nagalingam Rameswaram worked in the Survey Department from 1940 to 1971. He started as a technical subordinate and worked his way up to the position of Chief Surveyor. He was Chief Surveyor from 1964 to 1971. He recounts that the Microfilm Unit under the Survey Department was set up with the help of the War Department, which provided the equipment and training of staff. In the beginning, the Unit was only responsible for the microfilming of records from the Survey Department, and it was not until later that the Unit took over the responsibility of microfilming for the whole government.

  "Mrs P", as she was known, was the co-ordinator of Children's Services at the National Library from 1970 to 1980, Head of the Central Lending Library 1976 to 1983, and Head of the Asian Collection of Children's Books at the National Library from 1984 to 1991. In this interview, she talks about the transfer of the Microfilm Unit from the Survey Department to the Archives.
