CO 1022/187: Functions and activities of the Malayan Communists Party (MCP)
1951-1953
The activities of the Malayan Communists Party (MCP) was concentrated on political penetration and the establishment of a broadly-based national front. The Communists have reduced terrorist activities temporarily although they have no intentions to abandon the armed struggle as a means of gaining power. Their primary function was to "expand and consolidate the mass organisations".
