WO 106/2501: Operation 'Matador' proposed relaxation in degree of state of readiness

Telegrams between W.O. And C. In C. Far East. In which it is noted that it seems unlikely that the Japanese will move troops into Thailand, the degree of readiness for Operation 'Sandwich' (to move troops into the Singora area as part of Matador) has been relaxed (August 1941). W.O. stresses that the policy in the Far East is still to avoid war with Japan.
