File contains correspondence and reports regarding arrangements for discussions with the Malaysians on the decision not to continue with AMDA and on the size and nature of the British presence in the country in the future.  Malaysia's disappointment with the size of the commitment but the new policy will encourage more participation by New Zealand and Australia in the defence of the area. Papers include a letter from the Tunku to the British Foreign and  Commonwealth Secretary, Lord Carrington concerning the future of the Five Power agreement (New Zealand, Australia, Britain, Malaysia and Singapore) . Discussions on the use of the Jungle Warfare Centre.
