Foreign Pol Dept. 14 Jan 1825 No. 10 - Letter from J Crawfurd, Resident at Singapore, to G Swinton, Secretary to Government, submitting explanations of contingent charges of his residency for July 1824. Among the charges is one which relates to piracy occurring between Singapore and the Straits of Malacca. A reward is given to the chief of a village for rescuing people who have escaped from pirates.
