This record file consists of correspondence and statements of purchases regarding the compensation of Consul Pritchard as a result of the damages, losses and injuries inflicted upon him by French misconduct at Tahiti. British officials discuss how best to ensure Pritchard's indemnity so that the British do not suffer injury to their reputation or power in the face of French aggression.
