WO 203/2506: Cocos Island: defence plans
01/09/1945 - 31/05/1946
Correspondence stated that the Cocos Island defence installations were abandoned by the British army and RAF as soon as the Changi Airfield came into operation on 15/03/46.  Personnel and Class I & II vehicles were shipped over to Singapore. Cocos Island remained under Ceylon Army Command.
