Straits Settlements Record

This volume consists mainly of letters from the Governor-in-Council to various officers like the Judge and Magistrate, the Superintendent of Marine, the Master Attendant, the Superintendent of Convicts, the Accountant and Auditors, etc. It covers the period of March 1815 to Nov 1822. The record shows Raffles appointment as the Resident of Fort Marlborough (English fort in Bengkulu City, Sumatra).
