Proposed new scheme for Government Midwives together with advice for midwives. Copy of a Journal of the Malaya Branch of the B.M.A. December 1938 - includes an article by Cicely Williams on diseases in childhood in Singapore. Enclosed is a draft article - The Development of Paediatrics in Singapore 1961 2) PP/CDW/B2/2 - Milk and Murder. Text of a lecture given to the Rotary Club of Singapore, 1939. She completed her journey by train and arrived in Singapore on 20 December 1941. Vividly describes her work with the children in the Tan Tock Seng Hospital during the bombing. Particularly detailed on the chaotic conditions between the surrender to the Japanese and the internment in Changi. Account of her internment and work with the women and children.
