837: Visit of Malaysian Chief of Staff

American Embassy Saigon informed American Embassy, Kuala Lumpur that the visit of Malaysian Chief of Staff Brigadier General Jaafar bin Onn is now described as a visit to study the concept of operations adopted by the Allied Forces, especially the South Vietnamese forces, in blunting the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong offensive of April 1972.  The Embassy will find out from Malaysia whether the procurement of excess US military equipment from Indochina will be raised during the visit.
