2656: Sale of F-5s to Malaysia

American Embassy, Kuala Lumpur informed US. Secretary of State that DPM Tun Dr. Ismail had made an official statement regarding the purchase of the F-5E. Hence there is no need to refer reporters seeking to confirm the US sale of F-5 jets to Malaysia back to the government of Malaysia. (Note error in the report corrected by 2667: not PM Razak's statement).
