Reports and other papers on the service of Alan Blades mainly covering the time he spent in India as Head of the Japanese Section, Far East Bureau between 1942 and 1945. These papers include correspondence, invoices for his pay and expenses and his request in in September 1945 that he be permitted to return to the Colonial Office for either service in Malaya or Hong Kong. In November 1945 he temporarily returned to duty with the Malayan Security Services. In the early 1960's he became Commissioner of Police in Singapore.
