Translations into English from the Temenggong of Muar and other citizens of the state commenting on the choice of a successor to Sultan Al. The Temenggong notes that the Sultan left many children but no one had been elected as his successor. He s pleased with the decision to appoint the Maharajah of Johore to look after Muar in the meantime.
