Laurie Johnston, John Argyle Maxwell, David Skene Napier, Alexander Morgan, John Purvis, A. Guthrie, Graham Mackenzie, William Montgomerie, Charles Scott, John Morgan, C.R. Read, A.Hay, Esquires - And I do hereby order require and command all Persons now resident or who may hereafter come within the jurisdiction of the Government at Singapore to show due respect and obedience to the said A.L.Johnston, J. A. Maxwell, D.S. Napier, A. Morgan, J.Purvis, A. Guthrie, G. Mackenzie, W'm. Montgomerie, C. Scott, J. Morgan, C. Read and A. Hay Esquires in the execution of the duties of their office accordingly.                     And whereas a provision having been made by Regulation No.VI of 1823 that the Magistrates shall in future be appointed annually on the 1st Inst in each year and that to the number of Twelve Magistrates now appointed to constitute the Acting Magistracy for the present year, the Resident should be competent from time to time to appoint Supernumeraries who are to be borne on the public Roll of persons eligible for the Magistracy.             Be it known that I the Honorable Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles Lieutenant Governor of Fort Marlborough and                                                                              its
