595: Singapore dollar parity with gold

Correspondence from American Embassy Singapore to Secretary of State reported on the Monetary Authority of Singapore's announcement that it will maintain parity of its currency with gold. The new parity with the US dollar will be $0.5376 equivalent to S$1. Malaysian and Singapore currency remains interchangeable.
