Copied to C.O. Strategic effect of the Causeway. There is the possibility that a naval base might be constructed. 64r-67r Crown Agents, 4 Jan. Discussing the request of the Admiralty to modify the design to provide for a draw bridge or something similar. Survey being undertaken by HMS 'Merlin'. There was a conference held at the C.O. on 29 November 1919 to discuss this issue.
