Further correspondence between the Colonial Office, The Governor of Singapore, The High Commissioner of the Federation and David Marshall, the Chief Minister, minutes of meetings, press cuttings etc. concerned with the planning of the Constitutional talks on the future of Singapore to be held in London in April 1956. Among the issues raised by Marshall was the fear that the British would treat Singapore differently from the Federation and that Singapore would face a grave constitutional crisis. He has requested that the Federation Government agree to hold talks on future relations between the two territories.
