Correspondence from American Embassy Kuala Lumpur to Department of State forwarding a table showing the number of persons who have been granted citizenship in the Federation of Malaya from 14 November 1957 to 30 June 1961. Malayan Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman will take action against opponents of government policies concerning education and communal relations. One of the actions is the deprivation of citizenship on grounds of disloyalty. The case initiated against Lim Lian Geok is the first example of such action and its outcome will be an assessment of its potential application against others.
