Photostat copy of the report 'Experiences of the 6th Royal Norfolk Regiment and Notes on the Malayan Campaign' by Captain A.R. Stacy 1942) with covering letters. Detailed diary of events from the landing in Singapore on 13 January 1942 to 15 February 1942 when Stacy was evacuated along with other members of the regiment. Includes vivid descriptions of the fighting in S. Johore and on Singapore Island in the region of Sembawang, Nee Soon, Bartlet Road and eventually in the centre of the town. He also analyses the reason for the failure of the campaign; insufficient troops, inadequate strategy, lack of air power and of intelligence and an underestimation of the ability and strengths of the enemy and discusses the role of the infantry; their training and preparation for war, the quality of the personnel,  transport, equipment and communications.
