REAN-8: Malaysia/Thailand: new border agreement for cooperation against communist terrorists

Intelligence Note published by the Bureau of Intelligence and Research, Department of State disclosed that the new Malaysia/Thai border counter-insurgency agreement permits troops of both countries to cross the border for joint operations. Hence forth, the military rather than the police will have a dominant role in their combined operations against communist terrorists.
