Resumes of telegrams received from and despatched to the Secretary of State, despatches and other correspondence relating to the uprising in Perak and the murder of Birch. Papers include letters written to Birch by Governor Sir William Jervois, letters of the Rajah Muda of Perak to Jervois and from the Sultan of Perak (originals and translations by Frank Swettenham), letters from Swettenham to Jervois and a memorandum from Major NcNair to Mr Maxwell.
