The article published on Lianhe Zaobao was on Chia Chew Soo's account of the Japanese Invasion and how he survived it. He described how the Japanese soldiers invaded his village and killed his family members and villagers. He put his flair for drawing to good use by drawing out what he saw during the Japanese invasion. Chia said that although the Japanese soldiers were cruel, he understood that the Japan Peace Cycling Group members have conscience, thus would like them to pass on the truth of history to their fellow countrymen, and stop the revival of Japanese militarism.
