National Heritage Board (NHB) received a donation of 1,425 35mm photographic slides taken by late Mr Ralph Charles Saunders from Mr Clifford Stewart Saunders, the son of late Ralph Charles Saunders, on 28th Feb 2018. NHB selected 346 slides of Singapore and Malaya from the donation and digitised them for preservation. The digitised images of the 346 slides were transferred to NAS on 8th Mar 2019. Mr Ralph Charles Saunders, a radio operator from General Communication Headquarters in Britain, was posted in Singapore and lived in Jalan Kayu with his family from 1956 to 1959.
