Morning market in Chinatown's Pagoda Street. In the background is South Bridge Road. There can be as many as 1,200 street stalls throughout a typical day in Chinatown according to survey. Most of these stalls are concentrated along Trengganu Street, Sago Street, and Banda Street, with a few spilling into Temple Street and Pagoda Street. The goods sold include food, livestock and perishables.
