MRS ALICE PENNEFATHER & L M PENNFATHER AT SINGAPORE GIRLS' SPORTS CLUB
Well-known sports couple Mrs Alice Pennefather and Lancelot M Pennefather toasting each other at the Singapore Girls' Sports Club 50th anniversary celebration. Mr Pennefather represented Singapore in the Malayan Cup Soccer series in the 1920s while his wife was national champion in badminton and tennis in the 1930s. Mrs Alice Pennefather had also captained the Girls' Sports Club hockey team between 1931 to 1958.
