CHINESE GRAVE, 1890S
Tomb of Tan Kim Ching, born in 1829 and died on 27 February 1892, at a private burial ground, 13th mile of Changi Road. The remains of Tan Kim Ching were reinterred in Bukit Brown cemetery on 13 August 1938 (Burial Record found in National Archives). His name in the burial record was entered as Tan Kim Cheng as opposed to the usual Tan Kim Ching that we are accustomed to.
