The Civilian War Memorial also referred to as "The Chopsticks" at Beach Road is a 61-metre tall memorial comprising four columns which represents the four races. The $500,000 memorial to Singapore civilian victims of the Japanese occupation will be unveiled by Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew.
