Part of British Military Hospital (Alexandra Hospital) is next to it. On the near side of the road, bottom right of photo, is Alexandra Village. In the middle is the Malayan Railway line going under a bridge at Alexandra Road. The old Depot Road (before it was diverted to Lock Road) runs out into Alexandra beside the railway. The hill beside Depot Road was Railway Hill (then Gillman Heights and now The Interlace). In the background is Kent Ridge.
