This is the British Ordnance Base (BOD) at 12ms Choa Chu Kang Road (right centre). The base is also known as Keat Hong Camp and was later used by the SAF General Supply Base. It was there fresh conscripts for National Service went to collect their uniforms, boots and other items that were put in a duffel bag, on their way to Basic Military Training. The granite quarries at bottom right are the Seng Hup Quarry (left) and Ideal Home Quarry (right) along Jalan Perang. The farmland on the left is West Bukit Timah region which would become Bukit Gombak HDB new Town in future.
