FARMER BONG FU AND HIS SON HARVESTING THE LOCALLY-GROWN CHINESE CABBAGES AT THEIR FARM. SINGAPOREANS HAVE UNTIL NOW EATER ONLY IMPORTED CABBAGES. SOON, THEY WILL BE ABLE TO TASTE LOCALLY-GROWN CABBAGES AS WELL. PRIMARY PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT (PPD), THROUGH RESEARCH AND EXPERIMENTS, HAS ENABLED FARMERS TO GROW THIS TEMPERATE VEGETABLE UNDER TROPICAL CONDITIONS.
