The push cart stall seen here was a means of survival for Ho Khek Choon's family who resided at Block 56, 20B Buller Terrace. The cost price of one packet of cigarettes of 10 sticks was 35 cents and they were unpacked and sold at 5 cents a stick. Brands of cigarettes include Players, 555, Lucky Strike etc.
