This image was taken between 1863 and 1869 as the temporary footbridge leading to what was known as the Tavern Street could be seen in front of the Boat Quay buildings. This temporary bridge was built in 1863 and demolished when Cavenagh Bridge was opened in 1869.Tavern Street was also re-named to Bonham Street.
