The seated man is Koh Peng Chiang (許炳昌). The woman who died was his first wife, Maria Ng Sok Eng (黃淑英). His children stand around him from left to right: Koh Guan Yam (許元炎), Dorothy (Dora) Koh Lao Hueh (許老花; married name Ts'ai), Koh Koon Yam (許坤炎), Joseph Koh Cheng Yam (許清炎). Koh Cheng Yam was father of Diana Koh, who donated this photograph. This studio photograph was probably taken shortly after Madam Ng's death in 1919.
