The Four Heavenly Kings are Buddhist deities who guard each of the four points on the compass. Holding a snake in his hand, the Guardian of the West (left) is Kuang Mu Tian Wang whose name suggests "The One with Broad Perception". Guardian of the North, Duo Wen Tian Wang (right), holds an umbrella.
