POLICE ARRIVE ON SCENE TO INTERRUPT KUDA KEPANG HORSE TRANCE DANCERS AT TIONG BAHRU MALAY WEDDING. DANCERS ENTRANCED BY HORSE SPIRITS ARE SUBDUED TO STOP THEIR TRANCE STATES BY BEING WRESTLED TO THE GROUND. THE POLICEMEN ASK TO SEE LICENCES TO PERFORM IN A PUBLIC PLACE. IT BECAME EXTREMELY RARE TO WITNESS SUCH EVENTS IN SINGAPORE AFTER THE END OF THE 1970S.
