STRAITS TIMES' MILLION DOLLAR DUCK RACE AT THE SINGAPORE RIVER
Official canoeists helping to keep the rubber ducks on course in Straits Times Million Dollar Duck Race at the Singapore River. President S R Nathan is guest-of-honour at the race, in which about 100,000 rubber ducks participate and which sets a world record for the number of ducks adopted for a charity race. Proceeds from the race go to Touch Community Services and physical education teacher Abdul Razak wins first prize of $10,000.
