Pre-condition survey photograph No.: 126 for House No. 2 along Tay Lian Teck Road taken on 7 September 1963. A construction worker holding a written chalk board standing in front of a house wall that has visible crack lines that extend horizontally from the top of the door frame. Pre-condition survey was a documentation process in which existing faulty features of a house would be recorded by photographs before physical construction works for the new sewer line commenced in the vicinity of the house. This photographs would be referred to for legal purpose should dispute occurs to ascertain whether defects were already inherent in the building prior to construction of the new sewer line.
