View of New Bridge Road, looking towards the Sepoy Lines. Built in 1842, it is named after colonial architect G D Coleman's New Bridge (later renamed Coleman Bridge) which was constructed over the Singapore River in 1840. New Bridge Road runs through Chinatown and is now a one-way road.
