Flight steward Vincent Seow Teck Chye and stewardesses modelling the yellow and black uniform worn by the cabin crew of Malaysian Airways Limited (MAL) on domestic flights in the 1960s, during Singapore Airlines' (SIA) 40th anniversary celebration. The abbreviation MAL was retained when Malayan Airways Limited was renamed to Malaysian Airways Limited in 1963 following the formation of Federation of Malaysia. MAL was renamed again to Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (MSA) in May 1966, which subsequently separated into two national carriers, Malaysia Airline System (MAS) and SIA in 1972.
