A Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (MSA) Boeing 737-112 Fanjet in mid-flight. MSA came into being in 1966 as a result of joint ownership of the airline by the governments of Malaysia and Singapore. It became defunct in 1972 when both governments decided to set up their own national airlines -- Malaysian Airline System (MAS) and Singapore Airlines (SIA).
