CHINESE PALACE, PENANG
Chung Thye Phin Mansion looking out to the North Beach at 2 Kelawai Road, Penang. Chung Thye Phin was a Justice of the Peace and the last Kapitan China of Perak. The mansion was later sold and converted into the Shanghai Hotel, and subsequently demolished in 1964 to make way for a condominium.
