End of flying
Photograph of a 103 Sqn Whirlwind, XR484, taking off from the lawn fronting the mess and departed for Changi, at 20:20 hours on March 28th 1969, after which the airfield lights were symbolically switched off in groups. The rest of the squadron were already at Changi. A reception was held in the Officers’ Mess to mark the end of Seletar’s role as a flying station.
