HAINANESE ASSOCIATION AND TIN HOU KONG TEMPLE AT KHENG CHIU BUILDING
Kheng Chiu Building at 47 Beach Road where Tin Hou Kong temple and Kheng Chiu Hui Kuan (now known as Singapore Hainan Hwee Kuan, a clan for the Hainanese community) are located. The temple and clan association building was first built in 1857 in three adjoining shophouses at 6 Malabar Street. It moved to Beach Road in 1878 and the original building underwent renovations in 1963.
