THE CENOTAPH, SINGAPORE. DESIGNED BY DENIS SANTRY OF SWAN AND MACLAREN, THE FOUNDATION STONE WAS LAID ON 15 NOVEMBER 1920 BY GOVERNOR OF THE STRAITS SETTLEMENTS, SIR LAURENCE GUILLEMARD. THE UNVEILING BY PRINCE OF WALES (LATER KING EDWARD VIII) TOOK PLACE ON 31 MARCH 1922.
