PRIME MINISTER LEE KUAN YEW ATTENDS VALEDICTORY GARDEN PARTY AT PARLIAMENT HOUSE GARDEN

Mr Barker, Minister for Law, has been MP for Tanglin since 1963 when he was first elected. Mr Barker is now chairman of the Bukit Turf Club. Dr Yeoh, MP for Joo Chiat, has been the Speaker of Parliament for nearly 19 of the 23 years that Singapore has been independent. He was elected in 1966. Dr Yeoh is now a surgeon in private practice.
