COMMONWEALTH HEADS OF GOVERNMENT VISIT OCTOBER 1989 - PRESIDENT OF GAMBIA SIR DAWDA KAIRABA JAWARA AND LADY CHILEL JAWARA
Gambia's President Alhaji Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara and Lady Chilel Jawara, disembarking from the aircraft at Singapore Changi Airport, led by Director of Protocol and Consular Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, V K Rajan. Waiting to receive them at the foot of the ramp (hidden) are Minister for Trade and Industry and Second Minister for Defence Brigadier-General Lee Hsien Loong and his wife, Madam Ho Ching. Sir Dawda is stopping over here for a brief visit on his way home from the October 18-24 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Kuala Lumpur.
