LAI CHUN YUEN IN SMITH STREET
Lai Chun Yuen Theatre located at the corner of Smith Street and Trengganu Street. Built in 1887, the three-storey, 834-seater theatre which staged Cantonese operas was severely damaged by a bomb during World War II. It was eventually rebuilt and converted into shophouses after the war.
